Teacher fatally stabbed in France with attacker reportedly screaming 'Allahu Akbar' on 'day or rage'
According to the French interior minister, the suspect has been arrested and there is an ongoing investigation.
A teacher in France was stabbed to death Friday morning, with the attacker allegedly shouting a Muslim phrase used before a terror attack, on the day Hamas has called for a "day of rage," according to news reports.
The attack reported occurred in the city of Arras at about 11 a.m. local time.
According to the French Interior minister, the suspect has been arrested and there is an ongoing investigation.
The attack reportedly took place at the Gambetta high school. Politico reports that the attacker is of Chechen origin and was allegedly shouting “Allahu Akbar” during the attack.
The Muslim phrase in its origin means "god is great," but has apparently been appropriated before an radical Islamist commits a terror attack.
The alleged attacker was already on a state watchlist as being a potential security risk. Another teacher was injured in the attack, according to Fox News.
