Two NATO members report Russian drone incursions
Russian drones reportedly violated Romanian and Latvian airspace during attacks on Ukraine
Two NATO allies reported that Russian drones violated their airspace on Sunday. One drone temporarily entered Romanian airspace, while another crashed in eastern Latvia.
A Russian drone entered Romanian airspace early Sunday as Russia attacked civilian targets and infrastructure in Danube, Ukraine, Military.com reported.
Romania deployed F-16 warplanes to monitor its airspace and alerted residents by text of the incursion. No casualties or damage were immediately reported.
Another Russian drone crashed in Latvia later in the day. The drone likely strayed into Latvia from neighboring Belarus.
The Latvian military reported that there were no indications Russia intentionally violated the country's airspace.
