Officials in Cuba have been circulating a pamphlet among their citizens that explains how they can prepare for a war against the United States.

Titled a “Family Guide for Protection Against Military Aggression," the pamphlet says the U.S. is threatening a military assault against the island with the aim of "perpetuating capitalism ... and annihilating the dream of our Commander-in-Chief, Fidel Castro," according to The Los Angeles Times

The document tells families to prepare survival kits and seek shelter if they hear air raid sirens. It also provides first-aid instructions, such as how to tie a tourniquet.

“Should the enemy attack, our Revolution will defend itself until victory is achieved, and the aggressor is expelled," the pamphlet says.

On Wednesday, a U.S. aircraft carrier, the USS Nimitz, arrived off the coast of Cuba, and the White House has expanded sanctions on Havana's leaders following the indictment against former Cuban President Raúl Castro for murder.
