15 ISIS operatives killed by Iraq and US: military report
Seven U.S. service members were injured during the raid.
The U.S. military announced on Friday that a joint operation conducted Thursday by Iraqi forces and the U.S. took out 15 members of the Islamic State terrorist organization.
The operatives were "armed with numerous weapons, grenades, and explosive 'suicide' belts," U.S. Central Command announced.
Seven U.S. service members were injured during the raid, according to Fox News.
There were no civilian casualties from the operation, the U.S. military reported.
"ISIS remains a threat to the region, our allies, as well as our homeland. US CENTCOM alongside our coalition and Iraqi partners, will continue to aggressively pursue these terrorists," the military said, according to the outlet.
