Car-ramming attack kills two Israeli soldiers outside West Bank city of Nablus
The IDF announced the deaths of three soldiers on Thursday.
Two Israel Defense Forces soldiers were killed in a ramming attack in the West Bank outside of the city of Nablus, a known terror hotspot, the military announced Thursday.
The two infantry soldiers were identified as Staff Sgt. Eliya Hilel, 20, of Tel Zion, and Staff Sgt. Diego Shvisa Harsaj, 20, of Tel Aviv.
The attack Wednesday sparked a large manhunt for the suspect, who turned himself over to the Palestinian Authority in Nablus, according to The Times of Israel.
The IDF on Wednesday also announced the death of Sgt. Yedidya Azugi, 21, of Revava, in the Gaza Strip.
Since Hamas' Oct. 7, 2023, attack on Israel, 642 IDF soldiers have been killed.
