Former Israeli Ambassador to the United States Michael Oren says he hopes that Israel will quickly launch a ground incursion against Hamas.

"My wish would be that the Israeli forces move swiftly, but I don't think they're going to," Oren said on the "John Solomon Reports" podcast. "They're going to move very cautiously and try to reduce our losses as much as possible."

According to multiple reports, Israel is expected to launch on a major ground offensive into Gaza to attempt to wipe out Hamas, following the Oct. 7 attacks.

Oren said that he was critical of Israel's historic policies regarding the terrorist organizations, stating that they should really go after Iran over Hezbollah and Hamas.

"Hezbollah shoots at us," he stated. "Hamas shoots at us. These are all Iranian proxies, and we shoot back at Hamas and Hezbollah. "We pay a price. Even in our international legitimacy, we pay a price and Iran gets away scot-free."

Oren explained that each time a rocket is fired at Israel, Israeli forces should fire at Iran since Hamas and Hezbollah are proxies of Iran.
