Former Trump National Security Advisor Keith Kellogg says he doesn't believe President Biden has the willpower to stand up to Iran in wake of the war in Israel.

"It comes down to one thing: it comes down to presidential will," Kellogg said on the "John Solomon Reports" podcast. "I don't think this president has got the will, unless he's dragged screaming ... that he's going to do something and it compounds the problem."

According to reports, Iranian officials helped plot the Oct. 7 Hamas attack on Israel. The Biden administration has received a lot of pushback from critics who allege they have not done enough to hold Iran accountable.

"I listened to the Pentagon briefing today, kind of slack jawed," Kellogg said. "Just about a week or 10 days ago, everybody said, 'well, there's no direct Iranian involvement, so therefore, we can't do anything.' Now, they all admit that it was Iranian proxies."

Two weeks ago, the U.S. and Qatar agreed to stop Iran from accessing $6 billion in funds that were transferred to Qatar as part of a prisoner exchange last month.

Kellogg said that the U.S. has to come out with a hard stance against Iran and they haven't done that yet.

"You have to accept that risk, and make a hard decision to make sure you change the dynamic of the situation and  they haven't done it," Kellogg explained in reference to the Biden administration. "And so what you're going to see is you're going to see Iran say, 'well they're not really serious about it and so therefore, we're going to support Hezbollah coming from the north against Israel. And we're going to support more of these attacks on U.S. bases and personnel.'"
