Iran hints Hezbollah is ready to join fight against Israel, warns of a 'huge earthquake'
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian stated that Israel should stop its military action in Gaza.
Iran officials hinted on Saturday that the Hezbollah militia group, an Iranian proxy, is ready to join the fight against Israel, stating that a “huge earthquake” would occur if they joined with Hamas.
According to The Washington Times, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian told reporters that he met with leaders of Hezbollah who have said they are ready to fight Israel if necessary.
He also stated that Israel should stop its military action in Gaza.
“I know about the scenarios that Hezbollah has put in place,” Amirabdollahian said, according to reports. “Any step the resistance will take will cause a huge earthquake in the Zionist entity.”
Israel recently ramped up its military strikes in Gaza following the terrorist attack against the Jewish state by Hamas last week. There have been thousands of casualties thus far.
Around 150 people have reportedly been taken as hostages.
“I want to warn the war criminals and those who support this entity before it’s too late to stop the crimes against civilians in Gaza, because it might be too late in a few hours,” Amirabdollahian said.
