Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Cabinet will meet Tuesday to consider finalizing a ceasefire deal with Hezbollah, according to a report from the Jerusalem Post, citing a senior official.

An agreement is close but there are still some outstanding issues, the report said.

The proposal currently on the table includes a 60-day pause, where Israeli forces withdraws from Lebanon and the Lebanese army deploys troops to southern Lebanon.

Israel carried out strikes in Beirut on Tuesday as a ceasefire deal hangs in the balance.
