Israel conducts limited ground raids against Hezbollah in Lebanon
Citing anonymous sources, NPR reported that a wider ground offense could occur soon.
Israel is conducting small ground raids against the terror group Hezbollah in Lebanon, U.S. officials said on Monday.
Israel briefed U.S. officials about the raids, according to State Department spokesman Matthew Miller, who described them as “limited operations focused on Hezbollah infrastructure near the border.”
Citing anonymous sources, NPR reported that a wider ground offense could occur soon.
Israel has continued to launch attacks on Hezbollah targets in response to rockets launched into northern Israel.
On Monday, Hezbollah fired rockets from southern Lebanon over Haifa, which the Iron Dome missile defense system shot down.
