Israel strikes Gaza rocket launching sites used by Hamas on Oct. 7 anniversary
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) warned Gaza residents to flee before launching the strikes that reportedly destroyed the launchers.
Israeli military jets struck rocket launchers in southern Gaza that were used by the Hamas terror group to attack central Israel on Monday, the one-year anniversary of the October 7 terror attacks, according to the Times of Israel.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) warned Gaza residents to flee before launching the strikes that reportedly destroyed the launchers.
"Due to Hamas’s terrorist acts, which will be met with extreme force, you must evacuate these areas immediately and move to the humanitarian area," the IDF’s Arabic spokesperson said.
Hamas had fired rockets into Israel on Monday morning as Israelis were participating in commemorative ceremonies for the Oct. 7 attack that killed about 1,200 people in Israel.
