Israel launches overnight strikes in Lebanon against Hezbollah after exploding devices attack

Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said the military launched a strike against a Hezbollah weapons storage facility located in Khiam.

Israel struck "terrorist infrastructure sites" in Lebanon where Hezbollah terrorists were operating, according to the Israeli militaru on Thursday. 

The strikes follow the deadly explosion of electronic devices on Tuesday and Wednesday in Beirut and other parts of Lebanon.

The areas where the latest strikes occurred included Chihine, Tayibe, Blida, Meiss El Jabal, Aitaroun and Kfarkela. 

Israel Defense Forces (IDF) also said the military launched a strike against a Hezbollah weapons storage facility located in Khiam.

"The IDF will continue to operate against the threat of the Hezbollah terrorist organization in order to defend the State of Israel," the IDF said in a statement.

According to Agence France-Presse, Hezbollah has "traded near-daily fire with Israeli forces in support of ally Hamas since the Palestinian militant group's October 7, 2023, attack triggered war in the Gaza Strip, with repeated escalations during more than 11 months of the cross-border violence."
