Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu explained his reasoning for striking Iran during his first interview after the operation.

He named Iran's enrichment of uranium and missile arsenal as reasons for his decision.

“We had to act,” Netanyahu on on Special Report with Bret Baier on Fox News. “We did act, to save ourselves, but also to not only to protect ourselves but to protect the world from this incendiary regime. We can’t have the world’s most dangerous regime have the world’s most dangerous weapons.”

He said the enrichment of uranium information was based on intelligence.

“We will have a second Holocaust—a nuclear Holocaust. We already had one in the previous century. The Jewish state is not going to have the Holocaust on the Jewish people. Never again is now, and we have to act now.”
