A ship was attacked and took on water on Tuesday in the southern Red Sea off the coast of Yemen, according to the British military’s United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations center.

While Houthi rebels from Yemen have attacked ships in the Red Sea and Indian Ocean as a result of Israel’s war against Hamas in Gaza, a group hasn't yet taken responsibility for the Tuesday attack, said an Associated Press report.

The ship's operators reportedly said over the radio after the missile attack that it “sustained damage to the cargo hold and was taking on water.”
