U.S. Central Command Adm. Brad Cooper said that Iran typically sends between 20 and 40 small boats to harass vessels in the strait, and the fact only seven were deployed suggests that Iran's military capability has been "dramatically degraded."
U.S. forces have an "enormous amount of capability and firepower" operating in the strait, which includes attack helicopters that were used in the operation to eliminate the six boats.
"Iran has taken some shots at unrelated Nations with respect to the Ship Movement, PROJECT FREEDOM, including a South Korean Cargo Ship," he posted on Truth Social. "Perhaps it’s time for South Korea to come and join the mission! We’ve shot down seven small Boats or, as they like to call them, “fast” Boats. It’s all they have left."
