Russia expels six British diplomats, accusing them of spying

Russia said Friday it has expelled six British diplomats, accusing them of spying, an accusation the U.K. says is “completely baseless."

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is currently visiting Washington where he is expected to discuss Ukraine’s proposal to start using weapons provided by the West to hit targets inside of Russia, which Putin has said could spark a war between NATO and Moscow.

Russia’s Federal Security Service announced on Friday that the Foreign Ministry withdrew the six British envoys' "accreditations," according to the Associated Press
