Former Democrat presidential candidate and Rep. Tulsi Gabbard has signed a deal to become a paid Fox News contributor, one month after announcing her break with the political party.

Gabbard, of Hawaii, signed the deal Monday, a Fox spokesperson told The Los Angeles Times.

Already a frequent guest on the channel, Gabbard hosted "Tucker Carlson Tonight" on Monday, although according to the Fox representative her deal is set to start next week.

Gabbard, a military veteran, was a 2020 Democratic presidential candidate. She left the party last month, saying it is "now under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness."

She has increasingly aligned herself with the Republican Party on hot-button political issues such as children's gender transitionsborder security, and the right to privacy.
