Just the News’ parent company launches new thought leadership site Lyceum
Lyceum brand to expand the Just the News network with a dedicated space for commentary, long-form analysis, and informed debate from writers, contributors, and thought leaders across a broad spectrum of topics.
JTN Network, the parent company of Just the News, announced Thursday the launch of Lyceum, a new digital opinion and commentary platform designed to deliver thoughtful analysis, conservative perspectives, and compelling conversation on the issues shaping America and the world.
Available at https://lyceumnow.com, Lyceum expands the Just the News network with a dedicated space for commentary, long-form analysis, and informed debate from writers, contributors, and thought leaders across a broad spectrum of topics.
“At a time when too much of modern media chases outrage instead of insight, Lyceum was created to bring readers substantive arguments, fact-driven commentary, and serious intellectual debate grounded in journalism and common sense,” said John Solomon, the founder of Just the News. “This platform gives readers access to strong conservative thought, independent voices, and long-form analysis that respects the audience enough to go deeper than the daily headlines.”
The new platform features a refined, reader-focused experience organized into several distinct editorial sections, each offering a unique lens on current events, politics, culture, and public debate:
- Opinion: Original editorials by The Editors and the best arguments from across the web, published in full.
- Guest Editorials: Considered arguments from writers outside the house, chosen for substance, not celebrity.
- Long-Form Think Pieces: Essays that take the time an argument actually needs. Published weekends.
- Think More: The best conservative writing on the web, curated daily by the editors.
- The Reel: A selection of the 5 most important videos of the day.
- The Pulse: Polling, data, and the numbers that actually move the argument. Published in partnership with famed pollster Scott Rasmussen.
Thursday’s first edition led with an OpEd from Rep. Lisa McClain of Michigan, the chairwoman of the House GOP conference, talking about the impact of Trump tax cuts as well as a column Rasmussen on why the Scott Pelley 60 Minutes controversy doesn't matter to everyday Americans.
The site is named for the 19th century movement that revolutionized education and political thought in America with the help of luminaries like Mark Twain, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Frederick Douglass, Susan B. Anthony, and Henry David Thoreau.
Lyceum is designed to complement the Just the News mission of delivering factual reporting while creating a broader forum for interpretation, opinion, and civil discussion. The platform will feature contributions from journalists, policy experts, academics, industry leaders, and emerging voices from across the country.
The launch reflects the continued growth of the Just the News content network and its commitment to expanding its digital media presence through innovative journalism, commentary, and multimedia storytelling.
JTN Network announced late last year it was acquiring two major news brands, The Post Millennial and Human Events, and was working on development of a streaming television platform.
CEO Mark Meckler said the launch of Lyceum was a major step in the expansion around the Just the News brand and positions the company for bigger announcements this spring and summer.
“Just the News is and always has been about getting people just facts," Meckler said. “But its stories along side those at The Post Millennial and Human Events generate significant debate and policy discussions from Washington to across the world. Lyceum gives us a platform to foster and further that thought leadership in an engaging way. It’s the perfect complement to our news portfolio and sets the stage for more exciting expansion in the coming weeks.”
