President-elect Donald Trump on Thursday will ring the New York Stock Exchange's opening bell and be named Time magazine’s Person of the Year, according to news reports.
Trump is expected to be on Wall Street for the ceremonial start of the day’s trading, people with knowledge of his plans told the Associated Press.
Also on Thursday, Time will announcee that Trump is the magazine’s 2024 Person of the Year, source also told the wire service.
The people who confirmed the stock exchange appearance and Time award were not authorized to discuss the matter publicly and spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity.
