40 dead, 100+ wounded in attack on Moscow concert hall, Kremlin confirms

Several gunmen fired shots into a concert hall in Moscow on Friday night, and there was also a report of a blast, injuring multiple people, Russia’s state RIA Novosti news agency reported.

The outlet reported that at least three of the gunmen had combat fatigues. The Russian Federal Security Service has confirmed at least 40 fatalities at least 100 wounded from the attack, according to The Associated Press. 

The shooting took place at the Crocus City Hall which is located near the Russian capital.

Other Russian outlets also reported that the mall near the city hall was on fire.
