"We kept fighting and we prevailed," Comer said.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer says he plans on questioning "key figures" in his investigation into allegations that the Biden family was involved in bribery and influence peddling.

"We're going to start bringing in key figures in the Biden family influence-peddling schemes for depositions, and I think we're on the right track, even though we're having to fight the FBI, fight the DOJ, fight the Democrats in Congress and fight the mainstream media," Comer, a Kentucky Republican, said, Fox News reported Sunday.

Comer also said he refused to give up when it was difficult to obtain documents.

"I think we've done as much as we could do with the obstacles we've had to overcome. No one thought I would get bank records. No one thought we would get access to the Treasury, Cabinet's suspicious activity reports, but we would not take no for an answer," Comer said about his committee's efforts.

"We kept fighting and we prevailed. When we got access to the suspicious activity reports, the mainstream media said there was nothing there."

Comer said his probe uncovered indirect wire transfers from Romania and China to the Biden family while Joe Biden was vice president.

The FBI was aware of these allegations for years, and Comer questioned why the FBI did not investigate the claims.

"They didn't want to investigate the shell companies. They didn't want to investigate the money laundering. And then we know the Department of Justice hasn't done anything, so there's a pattern here where the federal government, the deep state bureaucracies, have turned a blind eye to Joe Biden," Comer also said.

Comer told Just the News earlier this month that the informant first told the FBI in 2017 that Biden participated in a multi-million-dollar bribery scheme involving Ukraine.
