Donald Trump Jr. criticizes House GOP leaders: 'They’re not our friends'
"Enough already!" Trump said in response to a video of Johnson talking about the need to secure the U.S. border before securing the border of other countries.
Donald Trump Jr. criticized House Republican leaders on Thursday as backlash against House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., intensifies over his foreign aid plan that would give about $61 billion to Ukraine.
Trump's comments were in response to a video of segments from Johnson speeches related to the need to secure the U.S. border before securing the border of other countries.
"Enough already! If you ever even begin to start believing anything anyone in Republican leadership tells you just watch this. Pay close attention to those that don’t seem bothered by this," Trump wrote. "They’re not our friends."
Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., who joined an effort to Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., to oust Johnson, posted Trump's tweet on his X account on Thursday and wrote: "Speaker Johnson is plowing forward with $100 billion in security assistance for other countries while breaking his promise to Americans that our border would come first."
