House Democrats announce their members for GOP-led DOGE subcommittee led by MTG
There are seven Democrats total on the committee.
House Democrats have appointed their members to the new, GOP-led Department of Government Efficiency subcommittee, led by Georgia Republican Rep. Majorie Taylor Greene.
The top Democrat on the committee will be Rep. Melanie Stansbury, of New Mexico.
The other members are Reps. Stephen Lynch, of Massachusetts; Robert Garcia, of California; Greg Casar and Jasmine Crockett, both of Texas; and Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton, the District of Columbia's House member.
Virginia Rep. Gerry Connolly, the top Democrat of the full Oversight and Government Reform Committee, will be permitted to sit on the subcommittee in an ex officio capacity, according to Politico.
The forming of the subcommittee follows President Trump's newly created Department of Government Efficiency, whose goal to make government more efficent and to eliminate government waste.
Republican members in the House subcommittee include Reps. Pat Fallon, Texas; William Timmons, South Carolina; Brandon Gill, Texas; Brian Jack, Georgia; and Tim Burchett, Tennessee.
