Liz Cheney trolls fellow Republican Kari Lake for losing Arizona governor race
Cheney told Lake, "You're welcome," after the Arizona Republican had thanked her for the "anti-endorsement."
GOP Rep. Liz Cheney on Monday appeared to trolled fellow Republican Kari Lake after the media projected her to lose her bid for Arizona governor.
"You’re welcome, @KariLake," Cheney wrote on Twitter as a caption to Lake's tweet from last month thanking the Wyoming congresswoman and Trump critic for launching an ad campaign against her.
Lake's original post was a photo of a letter to Cheney, calling her "anti-endorsement the gift that keeps on giving" as donations to the Arizona nominee's campaign had skyrocketed and her website was flooded with traffic.
"Thank you again for the huge boost to our campaign! Enjoy your forced retirement from politics," wrote the Trump-backed Lake, mocking how Cheney lost her primary in August to Trump-backed challenger Harriet Hageman. "I know America will rest easier knowing that one more warmonger is out of office."
