Democratic Congresswoman Wilson: Coronavirus 'gendered crisis' for women
Data suggests men disproportionately dying from COVID-19
Democratic Rep. Frederica Wilson says the coronavirus pandemic is a "gendered crisis" for women but the latest data suggests otherwise.
"In so many ways, the #COVID19 pandemic is a gendered crisis," Wilson tweeted Tuesday. "We're disproportionately on the frontlines as healthcare workers, food service workers, grocery."
The latest statistics show that men are disproportionately dying from the coronavirus.
Wilson is a member of the House Committee on Education and Labor and the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure.
