Former Vice President Mike Pence says that he would support an House Republican-led impeachment inquiry of President Joe Biden members "follow the facts."

"I think, particularly at a time when so many Americans have lost confidence in equal treatment under the law, so many Americans, understandably, are concerned about a dual standard of justice in this country," Pence said in an interview with Fox News Digital. "Now, more than ever, we need House Republicans to follow the facts, bring the facts to the American people, and if an impeachment inquiry facilitates that I would hardly support it."

The House reconvenes Tuesday, and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy has indicated he's open to an inquiry – a first step toward impeachment hearing – with a vote on the matter coming as early as next week.

"There are so many questions about Joe Biden’s involvement and connection to his son’s businesses when he was vice president of the United States," Pence also said. "When I was vice president, my son wasn’t sitting on the board of foreign corporations. He was sitting in the cockpit of the F-35 and flying for the Marine Corps."

Biden's son Hunter Biden was on the board of the Ukraine gas company Burisma Holdings when Biden was vice president.

Last month, House Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) accused Biden of abusing his power as vice president by allowing his son to travel aboard Air Force Two to help score foreign business deals and has demanded the National Archives turn over all flight records from such trips.

On Wednesday, Comer requested deeper access to records in the Biden family probe held by the National Archives, while pointedly warning that America's historical agency is threatening to withhold some evidence as "personal."

Pence said during the interview that the Biden family had an "ethical cloud" hanging over them, and encouraged the investigation that House Republicans are currently doing.
