Pelosi in video seen, heard vowing to 'punch' Trump if he came to Capitol on Jan. 6
The documentary was filed by Pelosi's daughter, Alexandra Pelosi, and was aired by CNN on Thursday night
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said on the day of the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot that if then-President Trump came to Capitol Hill she would "punch him out," as seen in a documentary filmed that day.
The documentary was filed by Pelosi's daughter, Alexandra Pelosi, and was aired by CNN on Thursday night, after what is expected to be the final public hearing for the Democrat-led House Jan. 6 committee.
Pelosi appeared to make the comment to her staff as Trump spoke at the rally on the Ellipse that preceded the riot.
"If he comes, I’m gonna punch him out," Pelosi, a California Democrat, says in the video. "I’ve been waiting for this, for trespassing on the Capitol grounds. I’m gonna punch him out, and I’m gonna go to jail and I’m gonna be happy.”
She also said in the video, "Tell him if he comes here, we’re going to the White House," according to a review by The Hill newspaper.
