Cori Bush blasts AIPAC after primary loss, says she'll 'tear your kingdom down’
Bush also said in her speech that her exiting Congress would “takes some strings off.”
Rep. Cori Bush, D-Mo., slammed the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) following her loss in the Democratic primary, stating she would tear their "kingdom down."
“And let me say this: AIPAC, I’m coming to tear your kingdom down!” Bush said during a post-primary speech, according to The Hill.
On Tuesday, Bush lost the Democratic primary for Missouri's first district to St. Louis County prosecutor Wesley Bell.
Bell's campaign received support from AIPAC, Federal Election Commission records show. Bush also said in her speech that exiting Congress would "takes some strings off."
“Because now, there are some strings that I have attached," she said. "And as much as I love my job, all they did was radicalize me, and now they should be afraid."
She later added that "this other Cori" would be shown following her loss. Bush's primary was reported to be one of the most expensive races.
