GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is targeting Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters for expulsion from Congress on the heels of comments Waters made over the weekend in Minnesota.

Greene, a freshman Georgia Republican, has filed a resolution to expel Waters from the nation's legislature.

"I want to ask Maxine Waters: What is more confrontational than what we have seen this past year, where BLM, Antifa thugs, domestic terrorists, have rioted in American cities, burned American cities, looted American businesses, attacked innocent American people and murdered innocent people like David Dorn? I want to know what is more confrontational than that?" Greene said during an interview on Just the Truth with host Jenna Ellis.

Waters has received criticism for comments she made over the weekend in Minnesota.

"We're looking for a guilty verdict," Waters said regarding the trial of Derek Chauvin in connection with the death of George Floyd last year, but if there is not a guilty verdict, "we cannot go away," she said. When someone asked Waters what protesters should do if that does not occur, the congresswoman said "I didn't hear you," but then when asked what protesters should do, Waters said: "Well, we gotta stay on the street. And we've got to get more active. We've got to get more confrontational. We've got to make sure that they know that we mean business."

Greene has decried her colleague's remarks and linked Waters' words to a drive-by shooting incident in which two Minnesota National Guard members sustained minor injuries.
