Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene wins GOP primary in Georgia’s 14th District
The first-term congresswoman defeated five GOP challengers
Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene on Tuesday night won the GOP primary in Georgia’s 14th Congressional District.
Former President Trump endorsed Greene in April.
The first-term congresswoman defeated five GOP challengers.
The Democratic-led House voted to strip Greene's committee assignments last year over incendiary comments, which resulted in efforts to unseat the ultra-conservative lawmaker. Greene, whose campaign coffers far exceed those of her primary challengers, has identified the committees on which she would like to serve if the GOP wins back the House majority in November.
She is a likely favorite to win the general election in her Republican-leaning district.
