The Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals on Wednesday lifted a lower court's block on the Trump administration firing thousands of probationary employees, allowing the administration to continue its efforts to restructure the federal government.

The order determined that a group of 19 Democratic-led states that sued the government over a Trump administration directive to fire employees hired in the last year or two, likely does not have standing to sue over the directive, per The Hill.
