A federal appeals court has ordered CNN to stand trial in a defamation lawsuit involving James O’Keefe and Project Veritas, a group he is not affiliated with any longer.

The complaint accused CNN of defaming Project Veritas when it was suspended from Twitter back in 2021.

The 11th US Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta determined last week that Project Veritas has the standing to sue CNN after anchor Ana Cabrera said on-air that the group was suspended for “promoting disinformation,” not for posting private information, or “doxxing.”
