A Florida court ruled Wednesday that FBI Director Kash Patel's girlfriend Alexis Wilkins can continue her defamation lawsuit against a podcaster, whom she claimed falsely portrayed her as an Israeli spy.

Wilkins, a country singer, filed the defamation by association lawsuit last year against podcaster and political commentator Elijah Schaffer over a post on social media that appeared to indicate she was a "honeypot," or spy, for Israel.

The defamation lawsuit is similar to another lawsuit she filed last year against podcaster Kyle Seraphin, a former FBI agent, which is also seeking $5 million in damages.
