Federal judge in Texas blocks Biden admin's rule expanding background checks for gun sales
U.S. District Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk in Amarillo blocked the rule from being enforced in Texas or against gun right groups such as the Gun Owners of America.
A federal judge stopped the Biden administration from fully implementing a new Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives' rule to more gun sellers to run background checks.
The rule would essentially subject for-profit firearms sellers to federal regulations such as running background checks and require them to obtain an ATF license.
