Judge orders National Archives, AG Garland to attempt to recover illegally deleted CDC records
The lawsuit is related to a CDC guidance for public school teachers regarding "gender ideology."
A judge on Friday ordered the National Archives and Attorney General Merrick Garland to "recover illegally deleted records" to "the extent reasonable possible," according to documents published by America First Legal.
"We just secured a preliminary injunction in our lawsuit against the Biden-Harris CDC for illegally deleting employees’ emails," read a post on X from America First Legal.
"The National Archives and Attorney General Garland must now work to recover illegally deleted records and make CDC comply with the law," the group also wrote in a series of X posts that included a copy of the injunction.
The group also said that NARA must now seek assistance from Garland and "notify Congress" of the action "to recover illegally deleted records, force the CDC to comply with the law, and stop its illegal practice of destroying federal records."
