A federal judge in New York on Thursday set the trial for hip-hop star Sean "Diddy" Combs' sex trafficking case to begin on May 5, 2025.

Combs was arrested and charged with sex trafficking, transportation to engage in prostitution, and racketeering conspiracy last month, in New York City. The charges comes after a months-long investigation, which included raids on his homes in Miami and Los Angeles. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Emily Johnson on Thursday revealed in court that 96 electronic devices were snagged during the raids in March, the Associated Press reported. Another four devices were seized during Combs' arrest, and prosecutors are currently sifting through over 90 terrabytes of data that were on devices in Miami.

Johnson also said additional charges may still be brought against Combs, or new defendants.

The court appearance, which Combs was present for, comes after the former music mogul raised issues about his right to a fair trial. Combs accused federal agents on Wednesday of unfairly leaking damaging information about him and his indictment to the press, which could taint a jury pool and impede his right to a fair trial.

"[The leaks] have led to damaging, highly prejudicial pretrial publicity that can only taint the jury pool and deprive Mr. Combs of his right to a fair trial," the defense said in a court filing.

The judge on Thursday said that he would issue a court order that restricts what both sides are allowed to say publicly about the case. Combs is currently being held without bail.
