Georgia GOP Marjorie Taylor Greene has filed a complaint to disbar Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, who is leading the case against former President Trump and 18 co-defendants in the alleged 2020 election interference case.

The effort follow a judge earlier this month allowing Willis to stay on the case, despite a "lapse of judgement" for dating the special prosecutor in the case, Nathan Wade, whom she hired.

"Fani should’ve been removed from her political persecution of President Trump after it was revealed she went on lavish vacations with her lover Nathan Wade," Greene wrote on the social media platform X. "The lover she paid HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of dollars!"

Greene has reportedly filed the motion with the Georgia bar.

After the judge allow Willis to remain on the case, Trump and eight of his co-defendants asked for a review of his decision.

They are expected to take the case to the Georgia Court of Appeals.

A Trump co-defendant tried to have Willis removed upon learning she and Wade had a romantic relationship. Among the arguments was that Willis financially benefited from the deal, considering, in part, Wade was paying for them to take romantic vacations together.

Last year Willis indicted Trump, now the apparent 2024 GOP presidential candidate, and 18 co-defendants over their efforts to challenge the 2020 election results in Georgia.
