Gunman suspected of killing 3 family members taken into custody after standoff with SWAT
The shelter-in-place was ordered around 9:30 a.m. near Sesame Place and a local mall.
The Pennsylvania shooter suspect has been taken into custody after barricading himself in a residence in New Jersey.
Four other people were in the residence where he locked himself in, according to the New York Post. SWAT officers surrounded the residence and were able to get people out safely.
Bucks County District Attorney Jen Schorn said that the suspect, Andre Gordon, has family ties to the three people he killed.
It is being reported that Gordon killed his 52-year-old stepmother, his 13-year-old sister and the 25-year-old mother of his two children, according to the New York Post.
A shelter-in-place order was issued due to the shooting in a suburban Philadelphia township, resulting in the St. Patrick’s Day parade being canceled.
Gordon also reportedly carjacked a driver at gunpoint.
