The Cuban government said that the United States is also responsible for the incident because it is "permissive" of "violent actions" against the communist nation.
The Cuban government released surveillance video showing a person throwing two Molotov cocktails at the Cuban Embassy building in Washington, D.C.
Cuba's Foreign Affairs Minister Bruno Rodriguez on Tuesday posted the video on X, formerly Twitter, calling the suspect a "terrorist," and stating that the footage was given to U.S. officials.
The incident occurred Sunday evening when a person threw the improvised incendiary devices over the fence of the embassy, which is located on 16th Street Northwest.
No one was injured during the incident and the building did not suffer significant damage, Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said. Officials are still investigating.

The Cuban Embassy was damaged in 2020 after a person shot the building. A suspect of Cuban heritage was arrested but has not gone to trial.
