The 50-year-old Waltz would take the post amid several pressing national security concerns
President-elect Donald Trump has asked fellow Republican and Florida Rep. Mike Waltz to be his national security adviser, several news outlet reported Monday night based on unnamed sources familiar with the matter.
Waltz is a retired Army National Guard officer and war veteran.
The 50-year-old Waltz would take the post amid several pressing national security concerns with Russia's war with Ukraine and Israel's war with Hamas and Hezbollah among those high on the list.
