US death toll rises in Hamas terror attack in Israel to 25

The number of Americans who have died as a result of the brutal attack by Hamas terrorists Saturday in Israel has risen to 25, Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Thursday, as more than 1,200 people, including women, children and the elderly, were killed and at least 100 more were kidnapped.

The death toll of U.S. citizens was at 22 on Wednesday.

Blinken gave the updated death toll during a meeting in Israel with the country's prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu. The secretary traveled to Israel on Wednesday to reaffirm support for the country, which is the only democracy in the Middle East.
