Biden criticized for appearing confused during Veterans Day ceremony

President Joe Biden is being criticized online for appearing confused during a Veterans Day ceremony at the Arlington National Cemetery.
After laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier on Saturday, Biden paused, walked away, then turned back and walked toward the soldier he placed the wreath by. The soldier then gestured to Biden in a manner that appeared he was directing the president where to go, and Biden walked away, video shows.
Users on X, formerly Twitter, slammed Biden's actions.
"Quite reassuring while we’re on the brink of WWIII," one user said.
"The Democrats cloak their malice under the guise of senile incompetence," Joe Kent, who is running for the U.S. House from Washington state, wrote on X.
Former Bush administration official Michael Brown asked Biden's wife, Jill Biden, "Do you love him? Take him home," in a post on X.
Others took to defending Biden.
"So, he starts to walk away and then decides he should thank the soldier there. He gives his regards and walks back to the line. It sounds like you are confused," one user commented on a video of the incident.
Hours after video of Biden's apparent confusion emerged, the Biden-Harris Campaign account posted a video painting Trump as being confused with the caption: "A confused Trump forgets who is currently president: They said what would you advise President Obama."
Meanwhile, former acting U.S. National Intelligence Director Richard Grenell pointed out how ABC News' Jonathan Karl "is mocking Donald Trump for being 'confused,'" but "ignores President Biden in moments like this."
Biden has faced questions about his mental fitness for years, with recent polls showing that voters are increasingly concerned about Biden's age and mental health ahead of the 2024 election.
