Arizona Sheriff says he is willing to work with Democrats to solve the border crisis
'I love Arizona. My job is to protect the people of Arizona,' Sheriff Lamb said.
With Democrats looking to take control of Arizona, Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb says that he is willing to work across the political aisle to tackle illegal immigration, an issue that is greatly impacting the state.
"I want to work with them," Sheriff Lamb said on the Monday edition of the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show. "I love Arizona. My job is to protect the people of Arizona and I get that sometimes I have to work with people that may or may not have the same political ideologies that I do. But I hope that they all love Arizona as much as I do and love America as much as I do, and that our interest to protect Arizona and America is the same."
The Arizona sheriff says that human trafficking and drug trafficking at the border have gotten worse over the past two years.
"We've been seeing this onslaught of human trafficking and drug trafficking into America for a while since this administration took over," Lamb explained. "And day by day, it seems to get worse and worse."
"We can go out there on the I-10 freeway, which is a main artery for the cartels, and it is full of people being smuggled into this country," Lamb continued. "Not to mention drugs or deserts full of people."
According to Lamb, migrants that are on terrorist watch lists have made their way into the country.
"We've seen over 100 people on the terrorist watch lists that have come through," Lamb stated. "Imagine how many (migrants) are terrorists that just aren't on our government's terrorist watch list, because they've stopped focusing on that."
