Rep. Andy Biggs calls out Democrats on southern border, says Clinton & Obama were pro-borders
"Don't forget that it was under Bill Clinton that the first border fence law passed..... I mean, Hillary Clinton at one point, was for a border fence," Biggs said.
Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., says that the Democratic Party used to support some form of border control, specifically under Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama.
"Don't forget that it was under Bill Clinton that the first border fence law passed... I mean, Hillary Clinton at one point, was for a border fence," Biggs said on the "John Solomon Reports" podcast.
The southern border is one of the biggest issues in the upcoming presidential election. The Biden administration has received flak from Republicans due to border policies that allow thousands of people to come across.
During Clinton's 1995 State of the Union address, he said that "criminal aliens" need to be deported and that illegal aliens ought not to receive welfare benefits.
The National Border Patrol Council recently endorsed former President Donald Trump. Union president Paul Perez said during a Trump rally, "If we allow border czar Harris to win this election, every city, every community in this great country is going to go to hell."
Biggs said that Obama supported some methods to keep the border under control.
"Even under Barack Obama there was some method to try to actually control the border and under this administration... not at all," Biggs said regarding the Biden-Harris administration.
