Texas Attorney General calls Biden's immigration policy an 'anti-humanitarian initiative'
Paxton said that a lot of the overdoses that are happening in the U.S. are a result of the drugs coming across the southern border.
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton says that the crisis at the border has gotten increasingly worse and the Biden administration is refusing to take any action or responsibility.
"I'd call it the anti-humanitarian initiative because we lost 13 migrants crossing the river because of high waters," the Republican attorney general said on "Just the News, Not Noise."
"We lost people in trucks that are overheated," Paxton continued. "We've lost hundreds of migrants because they're dehydrated. We've lost many of them because of crime and criminal activity by the cartels. And of course, we've lost Americans because of this."
Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz was in the news last week for testifying under oath that the border crisis is a disaster. Paxton said that he was grateful for the chief's testimony and that it gave the American people insight to what was happening at the border.
"He told the truth," Paxton stated. "I really appreciate that he let the American people in on the secret that Joe Biden doesn't want the world to know — which is that his policies are doing great harm to the border. They're doing great harm to my state, and they're doing great harm to the American people."
Paxton said that a lot of the overdoses that are happening in the U.S. are a result of the drugs coming across the southern border.
"We've lost Americans because of over 100,000 drug overdoses that are largely attributed to what's going on at the border," Paxton concluded. "So lots of people are dying. The Biden administration knows this, and they are fine trading American lives and migrant lives. This is not humanitarian. This is about a policy designed to accomplish a mission which is get more immigrants here."
