Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday recognized the independence of two Moscow-backed separatist regions in eastern Ukraine. He then ordered Russian troops to enter the breakaway regions for "peacekeeping operations."

The order came after Putin said Ukraine "never had its own authentic statehood."

Western leaders condemned Putin's actions as an attack on Ukraine's sovereignty. President Biden responded by announcing plans to issue an executive order banning trade in the Ukrainian breakaway regions but stopped short of announcing the full-fledged sanctions he said Russia would face in the event of an invasion.

Many observers fear Russia will continue pushing into Ukrainian territory and conduct the largest land offensive in Europe since World War II, thereby triggering a wider conflict.

So, what should the Biden administration do about all this? Here's your chance to weigh in.
