Former aide to NY Democrat Gov. Hochul charged with acting as agent of Chinese government
Her husband, Chris Hu, was also arrested at the couple's $3.5 million home located on Long Island.
Linda Sun, former deputy chief of staff to New York Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul, was arrested and charged on Tuesday with serving as an unregistered agent of the Chinese government, according to federal prosecutors.
Sun has held various positions within the New York state government, according to the Justice Department.
Her husband, Chris Hu, was also arrested at the couple's $3.5 million home located on Long Island.
The FBI reportedly searched their home in July.
Both Sun and her husband are expected to appear in court on Tuesday afternoon.
