More migrants dropped off outside VP Harris' home on Christmas Eve
It is unclear who sent the most recent busload of migrants to the vice president's residence.
Several buses of migrants were left in front of Vice President Kamala Harris' home in Washington, D.C., on Christmas Eve in freezing weather.
Two initial busloads were brought to shelters, an administration official told CNN. More buses arrived at the Naval Observatory, where the vice president lives, later Saturday evening. Those migrants were given blankets and taken to a local church.
It is unclear who sent the most recent busload of migrants to the vice president's residence, but Texas GOP Gov. Greg Abbott sent a bus to Harris' home earlier this year.
Migrants have been bussed to D.C. on a weekly basis for months. Three Republican governors have sent migrants north this year to deal with the ongoing border crisis after a record number of 2.4 million migrants illegally crossed the border last fiscal year.
