Tech and entrepreneur billionaire Elon Musk participated in a call between Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky and GOP president-elect Donald Trump on Wednesday, the day after Trump won the presidential election.

Musk's participation was first reported by the news outlet Axios, then confirmed by Fox News through an unnamed Ukrainian official.

"It was a very good call. Our work continues," the official told Fox News.

Zelensky congratulated Trump on the call. Trump during his winning campaign had been critical of Russia's war on Ukraine and continued U.S. aid to Ukraine.

However, Trump on the 25-minute call assured Zelensky of continuing U.S. support but did not provide specifics on either policies or military aid, according to Fox News

Musk backed Trump late in his presidential campaign, financially and on the campaign trail, and reportedly is being considered for a role in the incoming administration as a government "efficiency" czar.

"I had an excellent call with President Trump and congratulated him on his historic landslide victory – his tremendous campaign made this result possible," Zelensky posted on X.

Musk, founder of Telsa and SpaceX, and the owner of the social media platform X, has yet to comment on the call, but he reportedly expressed interest in continuing to support Ukraine through his Starlink satellite network, which has been critical to Ukraine's wartime communications, Fox also reports.
