Dede Robertson, wife of Christian evangelist, GOP presidential candidate Pat dies at 94

Adelia "Dede" Robertson, wife of 1988 GOP presidential candidate and televangelist Pat Robertson, died Tuesday in her home in Virginia Beach, Virginia.  

She was 94.

Robertson was also a founding board member of the Christian Broadcasting Network, which her husband started in 1960.

The network posted her obituary on its website.

"Dede Robertson was a woman of great faith, a champion of the Gospel, and a remarkable servant of Christ who has left an indelible print on all that she set her hand to during her extraordinary life," her husband said in the obituary.

A cause of death was not given.

Robertson earned a master's degree in nursing from the Yale University, at which she met her future husband, according to multiple news reports.

She was selected Christian Woman of the Year in 1986, according to the obituary, and authored two books, "My God Will Supply You" and "The New You," the network said.

She is survived by her husband and her four children –Timothy Robertson, Elizabeth Robinson, Gordon Robertson and Ann LeBlanc – and 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren, according to the Associated Press.
